The Roots announce new album release date

The Roots have revealed that their forthcoming studio album, 'How I Got Over', will be released The Roots on June 8.

The band's drummer and DJ Ahmir 'Questlove' Thompson posted the release date on his Twitter page,Twitter.com/questLove.

Further details of the album, which will be the band's first since 2008's'Rising Down', are yet to be released. A song by the band from last year that shares the album's name is expected to feature – listen to it by clicking below.

The band have also started work on a new album with Booker T of Booker T And The MGs, reports Billboard. The album is expected to feature a slew of guest vocalists.
